PUBLISHING

Ownership of the music and lyrics.

1. PRO (ASCAP, BMI, SESAC) for performance royalties on publishing.

Pub Admin services (Songtrust or different pub admin service). These are publishing royalties and they collect mechanical royalties on the publishing side. As well as publisher share of performance royalties.

Publishing Administrator, sometimes can come through distributor (mechanical royalties).
MASTER RECORDING

Ownership of the sound recording.

Paid through master, sync clearances, streaming masters get paid 6 to 1 right now.

Distribution (Distrokid, Tunecore) payments come from master side.

Sound Exchange (non-interactive streaming services like Pandora, Sirius XM Radio) royalties on the master.
